Demirel moves in to sort out the Arbitration problem

President Suleyman Demirel moves in to establish the "international arbitration" that foreign capital presents as as a condition on energy investments

President Suleyman Demirel has moved in to solve the problem of international arbitration, which he recognises to be the biggest obstacle in Turkey's energy issue. After meeting with the government, he has also contacted Recai Kutan, the leader of the Virtue Party, demanding that a Constitutional amendment be made immediately. Demirel has alsoincluded the issue in the file concerning "Turkey's most immediate problems awaiting solution" he presented to Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit.
