       State Minister Isin Celebi said they will reach the 50% inflation rate target as the government. Mr. Celebi who attended a meeting entitled "State and Transformation" held by the Institution of Turkish Labor Unions (TISK), answered questions raised by correspondents after the meeting. He said efforts for launching the automatic pricing system on July 1 is still continuing. When asked whether the recent floods will affect the Anti - inflationary programme, he said: "We technically set insurance while formulating the budget. There is an insurance system for these kinds of unexpected situations, thus they won't affect the stability programme."
       "Prices were already not frozen in the public sector. They will be regulated accordingly with costs. We will hit the 50% target under a budgetary discipline" he answered when asked if price increases in the public sector will continue or not.
       On the controversial presidency system, he was quoted as saying: "I wrote a book on this subject, it reached the third edition." Turkey will continue structuring in compliance with the globalizing world, thus they relaunched the transformation programme started by the Motherland Party in 1983, he said.
       "The number of Internet users climbed to 100 million in 1997, up from 3 million in 1995. Turkey has to display the same success on subjects related with human rights and democracy, besides developments on economic and financial fields" added State Minister Isin Celebi.
