DİSK: We are forced into conflict

       Murat Tokmak, the General Secretary of DISK condemned the assault on Birdal. "Turkey is being purposefully forced to a conflict situation," he said.
       In his written declaration Tokmak said: "For a while now Turkey has been made a stage for a certain kind of politics. In various places of the country through attacks directed by fascist quarters, they try to increase the stress on the people. The only way to stop this development is by the union of the society on the basis of democracy and the rule of law."
