Ecevit sent a message for Pakistan's overthrown Prime Minister, Serif, not to be hung

       Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit has sent the leader of the current military administration in Pakistan, the message not to hang their overthrown Prime Minister. Stating that Turkey's view of Pakistan has not changed, Ecevit stated that in case Serif was hung, Pakistan would be left alone in the international arena. Having hung the Prime Minister at the time in 1960, Turkey now tries to prevent Pakistan from executing their overthrown Prime Minister, Navaz Serif. Mr.Ecevit emphasized in his message to Muserref that Serif's trial process was closely watched internationally. Conveying that Pakistan would be left alone in the international arena if Serif is executed, Ecevit suggested that Pakistan go back to the regime of democracy as soon as possible. It is reported that Mr.Ecevit also mentioned Turkey's past experinces in his message. Bulent Ecevit also received Pakistan's Ambassador to Ankara, the other day at the prime Ministry. Mr.Ecevit announced that he would be visiting Pakistan once the presidency elections and some of the internal political affairs were handled.The Ambassodor announced that Muserref will be stating Pakistan's message of when to return to democracy on March 23rd.

Clinton will also visit

       The US, that had at first criticised the coup in the leadership of Muserref, is now getting ready for President Clinton's visit to Islamabad. Clinton will stop by Islamabad on his return from the Bangladesh-India tour which is on March 20th. The visit to Pakistan has been recently added to Cliton's program after talks within the US administration.
