Muhterem Aras who was elected as the speaker of the state parliament in Baden-Württemberg in Germany spoke to Milliyet daily.
Aras: “I came to Germany from Turkey’s Bilecik province when I was 12 years old. My mother is an illiterate woman, my father graduated from secondary shool. But the most important thing is I was elected as a woman and an immigrant.
