Court warranted sequestration for Akyil family's properties for its $50 million debt for loans

Akyil family which became a textile giant with its investments particularly in Diyarbakir and which has been the first Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen Association member from the South East region is trapped in a warrant of sequestration.
After three years of production Akyil Company which founded one of the leading textile factories of Turkey, with a $200 million of investment has faced a loan crisis.
The Court ordered warrant of sequestration for all of the properties of the family as they couldn't pay its debt of more than $50 million back.
It has been stated that Emlak Bank gave the highest amont to the family, which makes around $15 million. Emlak Bank is followed by Ziraat, Vakiflar, Halk, Kalkinma, Koc, Yapı Kredi and Is Bank respectively. While the interest of the debt grows day after day, all properties of the family in Diyarbakir, Adana and Mersin including their house and private cars are sequestrated.
