Former Justice and Development Party (AK Party) deputy and Foreign Minister Yaşar Yakış was sent to Central Discipline Committee for a request for dismissal from the party.

Yakış was accused of “misreporting and making insulting statements through media organs of an illegal organisation which threatens national security.”
