The sales of Galatasaray flags bursted as the club won the UEFA Cup
As Galatasaray flags could only be found in the blackmarket after the
club won the UEFA Cup, yellow and red coloured fabrics in wholesalers sold
out as well.
Celalettin Kivrik, a wholesaler in Bursa fabrics market stated that he sold
the cloth for the biggest GS flag taken to Kopenhagen and said, "We sold
nearly all of the cloth in the shop. We will be able to meet the orders we
have not before than the next week."
Coskun Aras, a business partner of another company in the same market said
they wholesaled the 600 metres long cloth to a manufacturer of flags and
they expect a new arrival for tommorrow (today). "The customer for the red
and yellow cloth we expect is ready as well," he said.
The uniforms of the Galatasaray Sports Club are also finished as well.
Mahmut Karapinar, the owner of a sports shop in Mahmutpasa of Istanbul said,
they have no uniforms left and they can answer the demand from the Anatolia.
Galatasaray flags, which were sold for 2 million liras before the UEFA
Final, hit 4 million liras yesterday, as the Galatasaray won the cup.
