IMKB rises together with Europe

       The IMKB took the adventage of increases in the European markets. As shares gained 5.06% on average yesterday, the IMKB - 100 index rose 93 points to 1,946 points. Trade volume on the other hand increased to 41.4 trillion liras, up 34.2% from the previous day. Trade volumes of Yapi Kredi Bankasi, Tupras and Dogan Holding accounted for one third of the overall trade volume.
       Diplomatic initiatives coming to foreground in the current row between Turkey and Syria and rise in stock exchanges across the world yesterday, reflected itself as an upward motion at the IMKB.
       The Istanbul Stock Exchange, which started the week with a historic plunge of 9%, displayed a roller - coaster trend during the week, however the last day of trade marked a 5.06% jump.
       An announcement by the Standard & Poors that 16 countries including the U.S. is in a risky position amid the current global turmoil but that Turkey wasn't categorized among these countries, boosted the stock exchange.
