Interest of foreign investors increase in IMKB

       Foreign investors resume their purchases through the month of August in IMKB (Stock Exchange Market of Istanbul). Within the month foreigners have realised purchases worth $415,119,000; while the sales they realised were at $333,987,000.
       However the total of transactions by foreigners were at an all year low owing to the closure of IMKB for a period of time following the earthquake on August 17th.
       In the previous month, among the shares invested in by foreign investors, Akbank had the lead, followed by Sabanci Holding. Shares of Yapi Kredi ranked third within those that attracted foreign capital.
