Istanbul airport attack: 36 killed, 147 wounded

Turkey’s Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) was behind the attack. No one has claimed responsibility.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan released a statement on the attack and called for a unified international fight against terrorism.

It was reported that three attackers first opened fire then detonated themselves in the arrivals section of the airport’s international terminal.

One Ukrainian and one Iranian citizen were among 36 people killed.
