Istanbul moving to outskirts

The resort towns surrounding Istanbul, such as Zekeriyakoy in Sariyer,
Polonezkoy in Beykoz, Cekmekoy in Umraniye, Kurtkoy in Pendik and
Cavusbasikoyu in Beykoz, offer a lifestyle far from the stress of life in
the big city.

       The accommodation habits of the residents of Istanbul are in the
       process of changing. The villages such as Zekeriyakoy, Polonezkoy, Cekmekoy,
       Cavusbasikoyu and Kurtkoy offer an alternative lifestyle. Those who grow
       weary of the pollution and noise of Istanbul, but can not give up the
       possibilities the city has to offer, opt to dwell in these surrounding
       areas. The fact that the geological structure of these villages are safer,
       has increased the demand for the housing in these areas since the Marmara
       earthquake. Estate prices vary between $12 to $200 a square metre.
       Zekeriyakoy, is ideal for upper class families. It is also possible to
       encounter non-structure estate for 30 million a square meter. Those areas
       with a speedy construction trend are Polonezkoy, Poyrazkoy and Cekmekoy.
       These estates are for middle class budgets. There is a housing block project
       going on in Kurtkoy, which comprises 110.000 dwellings. Those who opt for
       Kurtkoy are citizens with limited budgets.
