MHP cannot hold congress on June 10, Supreme Election Board says

Cankaya district election board said on June 27: “Due to a stay of execution issued on amendments to the party’s internal regulations, the clause in the MHP bylaws which states ‘elections cannot be held in snap congresses,’ is still valid.” Dissident MHP members objected to the election board’s decision. YSK held a meeting on June 28 to discuss the dissidents’ objection and ruled that the party would not hold a snap congress on July 10 to select its new party leader.
