New Cyprus proposal from France

France has proposed a new solution for Cyprus in the meeting held among the Foreign Ministers of the EU member countries in Edinburgh today.
The proposal of France has seeped to press before the discussions which also includes the solution proposals of Britain and Greece on the same issue have started. The French side, has brought impressive and new proposals for the Cyprus part of the full membership negotiations which will start on 31th of March. In the draft text France points out that they want to see the both sides in the full membership negotiations and offered a report to be prepared by the commision for the council in case the both sides are represented in the talks.
In the draft proposal, France wants the Concil to give an immediate decision for the start of the negotiations in accordance with the proposal which the Commision will present to the Council. It has been reported that the so called "French proposal" has received reaction from Greece that it evaluated the proposal as an offer to postpone the negotiations planned to be held with the Greek part of Cyprus for the full membership.
