Recep Tayyip Erdogan: Birth control is not for Muslim families

Delivering a speech at the foundation of the Service for Youth and Education Foundation of Turkey’s (TÜRGEV) ceremony in Istanbul on May 30, Erdogan called on Muslims to have more children.

Erdogan: “I am saying this clearly, we will multiply our descendants. They talk about population planning, birth control; no Muslim family can have such an approach. As God and as the great prophet said, we will follow that road. The first duty belongs to mothers.”
