ANAP Leader Yilmaz: In the past, some patriots tried rescuing the State, through violating laws. This is a bad tradition which has harmed Turkey

       General Chairman of the Motherland Party (ANAP) Mesut Yilmaz stated that in the past, some "patriots" tried to rescue the State through violating laws and this has created a bad tradition of revolutinary committee. Mr.Yilmaz also added that Turkey has always suffered from this. Mr.Yilmaz who had stated that no law-state has the luxury to act against the laws, has said the following at his party's group meeting yesterday: " We should take lessons from past mistakes. The revolutioanry committee that had started out with good intentions, harmed the state more than helping it. If the state acts against the laws, then violation of laws by other institutions can not be prevented. The gangs, Hizboullah, Susurluk and the most recent events in Batman have all proved us this." The State has to call the past mistakes into accounts, otherwise we will not learn from them. The investigation over the smuggling in Batman has been intensified by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and we will support an investigation by the Parliament. We will do all this not only to punish someone, but also to prevent such incidents from happening again." said Mr.Yilmaz.
