Turkey celebrates Sovereignty and Children’s Day

Turkey’s Children’s Day is the world’s only holiday dedicated to children, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu said while addressing a special session of the Turkish parliament. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed children to the Presidential Palace.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, said the day should be focused on children as the representatives of Turkey's future.
