Erdogan on Russian crisis: “Russia sacrificed Turkey over a mistake or fault by a pilot when our relationship with Mr. Putin was at very different point as two good friends. Turkey never wanted to damage relations with Russia. I do not understand what manner of first step Turkey should take to repair ties. Turkey and Russia should make an effort to renew relations and take them to a new level again.”

I am the president of judicial organ

Erdogan on being accompanied by the heads of the Turkey’s supreme courts: “I am not a political party leader. I am a president who got 52% of the votes. I am the president of judicial organ, executive power and legislation. They should get used to that situation.”

Erdogan, Merkel speak by phone

President Erdogan spoke yesterday on phone with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Erdogan shared concerns with Merkel over German parliament vote on “genocide” resolution. Erdogan highlighted Turkey's sensitivity regarding the matter and said Turkey expects common sense. Erdogan said Turkey would do the necessary evaluation after the vote.
