Foca's seventh seal

       While, the nine Mediterannean seals which have been specified under the frame of "The protection of Mediterannean Seals in Turkey - Foca Pilot Project" which will represent Turkey in "Henry Ford European Protection Awards" among 35 projects, decreased to seven, the officials have brought a good news.
       Mediterannean Seal Group Researcher Yalcın Savas who has announced that they have succeded to take the last photograph of the named seven seals which live in Foca, stated that the frequency of seeing seals has increased by five times in the last four years. Mr. Savas who underlined that this means an increase in the number of the seals said "Because these lovely mammals doesn't like to be seen by the human beings."
       Savas continued as follows:
       "We aim to protect the Mediterannean seals which are at the verge of extintion because of water pollution, over construction and over fishing and to inform the coastal villagers. Because water life exists if the seals exists. This is our motto."
       According to Mr. Savas's statement, nine seals are determined and given name with the coordination of SAD -AFAG (Underwater Research Society/Mediterannean Seal Research Group) and Foca Local Seal Comitee and Foca Municipality.
