Glaciers are polluted as well

Giving information to Milliyet Newspaper about their studies, Assoc. Prof. Halim Aytekin Ergül from Kocaeli University said, “Agricultural and industrial activities cannot be made in Antarctica. However, we’ve come across to findings that point the presence of organic pollutants and heavy metals (cadmium, lead, mercury etc) in the continent.”
