Ozal assasination file will be reopened

       Minister of Justice Oltan Sungurlu stated that an investigation has been started by General Attorneyship for the assasination attempt against 8th president Turgut Ozal due to, DP leader and his brother Korkut Ozal's words. "I may tell the assasination to the judiciary."
       Virtue Party, Kırıkkale Deputy Kemel Albayrak asked whether any level process has been lauched due to Korkut Ozal's statement. Mr. Sungurlu reminded Mr. Albayrak that Ankara States Security Court has brought a public suit against Kartal Demirag for his attempt to murder to President Turgut Ozal for ideologic purposes.
       Mr. Sungurlu recorded it was formerly stated in the document dated 30th September 1988 that there can be other people aiding Demirag or participating in the attempt and the continituation of the investigation and the research was demanded. Mr. Sungurlu as follows:
       " Lastly, in the news titled "I may tell the assasination to the judicary" published in Milliyet Daily on 21th April 1998, as it has been stated that DP leader and Istanbul deputy Korkut Ozal can tell the name of the committer or the planner of the assasination to the official judiciary of the state or to the security units, he was invited to General Attorneyship to inform the department about the assasination and the started pre- investigation continues due to the information given."
