On yıllarca erkekler ve kadınlar için güzellik standartları atletik, kaslı ya da zayıf olmaktı. Fakat son birkaç yıldır büyük beden mankenlerin, güzellik standartlarını tam anlamıyla karşıladığı düşünülen mankenlere karşı bir tür savaş açtığını görüyoruz.

Ashley Graham ve Iskra Lawrence gibi modellerin beğenileriyle beraber kadınlar için vücut pozitifliği kıstasları konusunda ciddi anlamda ilerleyici süreçlere şahit olduk. Peki aynı durum erkekler için geçerli mi?

Ne yazık ki bu durum erkek moda sektöründe çalışan erkek modeller için henüz istenilen seviyeye gelmiş değil. Fakat bunun için çalışan bazı erkek modeller de yok değil.

Erkek güzelliği konseptini baştan yazman isteyen büyük beden erkek modeli Darnel Ghramm, #WeAreBigAndTall (Geniş ve uzunuz) adlı bir kampanya başlattı.

Darnel Ghramm'a bu kampanyayı başlatmasına ön ayak olan durum, Instagram'da bir kullanıcının ''Daha önce hiç geniş beden erkek model görmedim'' yorumu ile etiketlenmesi olmuş. Kampanyası için hemen harekete geçen Darnel Ghramm, fotoğrafçı Tony Trott ile beraber Rob Robinson, Arcadio Ady Del Valle ve Miguel Rodriguez'in de aralarında olduğu bir grup büyük beden erkek modeli de alarak kameralar karşısına geçti.

My mission is to represent & show what the Big&Tall Man are all about. .
