Criticism of the economic policy in the ANAP Presidential Council
meeting: The government talks of crucial reforms, but can not come up with
decisions in practice

Isın Celebi, Deputy President of ANAP, has presented a letter of
economic assessment to party leader Mesut Yilmaz and the party
administration in the meeting of the party's Presidential Council that was
held the day before. Celebi stated that the government has not so far
succeeded in delivering the immediate economic decisions that Turkey
urgently needs, and that citizens are losing faith in the reforms, since the
reforms fail to be carried out in practice.
He criticised the policy since 1991 to curb investments in order to combat
the deficit in the budget.
He urged the Ministry of Finance to take immediate action against the ever
growing deficit and inflation and rejuvenate investments.
He said the reforms produced by the parliament should be applied in practice
with the help of decisions to make a difference in the daily economic
condition.
