Cumhuriyet journalists Dündar, Gül sentenced to 5 years in prison over 'revealing state secrets'

Can Dündar, the editor-in-chief of the Cumhuriyet daily, and Erdem Gül,the paper’s Ankara bureau chief, were sentenced to 5 years in prison on charges of revealing state secrets on May 6.
Dündar was sentenced to 5 years and 10 months in prison for "publishing secret state documents" as Gül was given five years on the same charge by the Istanbul 14th Court for Serious Crimes.
