Determination in elections

       Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit stated that the deputy general elections and the local elections will definitely be held together in next April and said, "The point to return have already past"
       Upon a question whether he agrees with the decision of early elections or not, Ecevit reminded that DSP does not see early election as a necessity, and added:
       "But we have come to a point where we can not return back. As DSP we are ready for an election that may be held any time. I wished we were not faced with an early election at this point where we started accomplishing good works. But the point to give up has already passed. Deputy general elections and local elections will definitely be held together in next April. As the government, as the parties within the government, we prepare ourselves to this."
       Mr.Yilmaz on the other hand gave the following answer to the question, "Has Susurluk been put back on shelf?"
       "I will be giving an extensive declaration on Susurluk and the related subjects next week. Even if every single person in Turkey would be willing to cover Susurluk up, I would be the one who would not let that happen. We We have serious forces who try to illuminate the subject. I have asked for cooperation, however I could not find myself an alliance. It is not possible to obtain the answers asked for, without realizing the necessary legal arrangements and concluding the investigations. The public is getting impatient, and there are politicians who try to make use of that."
