Gokcek: My rival is Tasdelen

       Melih Gokcek who is shown as a candidate for the Mayorship of Ankara once more said, "With the help of God I will win these elections. There have been many investigations started about me. They can not beat me through democratic ways so they want to do it through an adjudicator. But they will not be able to."
       Gokcek stated that a substitute candidate has also been determined in case he can not be a candidate because of the investigations started about him and mentioned Abdullah Gul as a possibility. Gokcek is very sure of himself and pretentious that he will be re-elected. " Dogan Tasdelen is my only rival. He is the only person who can challenge me." said Gokcek.
       Gokcek made the following evaluation on ANAP and DSP's search for alliances:
       " Such an alliance will not effect me. On the contrary it will be more beneficial. A search for such an alliance shows that these two parties seem hopeless from the beginning. 80 percent of ANAP's base are nationalist conervatives. If ANAP makes an alliance with DSP, the bases of ANAp would vote for me. If ANAP and DSP make alliances, I believe that a democratic sided alliance against them should be established. This is my personal opinion. And this democratic sided alliance should be established by DYP, FP and MHP."
