Gunman who attempted to shoot Turkish journalist arrested

Murat Şahin, the gunman who attempted to shoot daily Cumhuriyet’s editor-in-chief Can Dündar outside Istanbul’s Çağlayan courthouse, was arrested on Tuesday by an Istanbul court.
The gunman was sent to the Istanbul 1st Criminal Court of Peace for arrest on charges of 'attempted murder' and 'violation of Law No. 6136' which regulates firearms. Three other suspects were released after being detained earlier Tuesday for having connections to Dündar shooting.
