IMKB trades on optimism

       Overwhelmed by uncertainties, the stock exchange was rejoiced over the search for a new government. After the Democrat Left Party leader Bulent Ecevit's handover of his mission of forming the new government, back to the Suleyman Demirel, the President's meeting with the party leaders prompted the speculations that the new government will be formed under the leadership of a deputy.
       The Index continued its rise yesterday, which it started last Friday to to optimistic expectations. The IMKB - 100 Index jumped to 2,418, rising 78 points. Shares on the other hand gained 3.37% on average. The index thus increased by 7.94 in the last two days. But the daily trade volume still seems intact. It remained the same with Friday's figure at 46.8 trillion liras yesterday. Sabanci Holding, Petkim and Yapi Kredi Bankasi accounted for 25% of the daily trade volume.
       Experts stress that the bourse experienced all the pessimistic effects, paving way for an optimistic atmosphere. They also underline that the bourse will display a positive reaction to concrete steps in forming a government.
