Indigence cripples the stock market

The Istanbul Stock Exchange (IMKB) which lost its hopes dropped also on the last of the week being effected by the discussions on the IMF's shock package. The trade volume falling to the recent months' lowest level puts extra pressure on the stock market. The Friday's trading volume fell to 33.1 trillion liras with a 27.8% drop and decreaed to the lowest level of the recent months. The IMKB - 100 Index dropped 25 points down to 2879. The avarage decrease in stock prices was 0.86%.
The market has held its breath and it is waiting for the conclusions that will be reached in the IMF meetings. The investors don't sell or buy because of the uncertainty and this puts more pressure on the market. There is almost no movement in the market save for some small stock level trades. The market will find itself a route after the meetings with the IMF say the experts.
