Invitation to Louvre

       Jacques Mouclier, Chairman for Confederation Francaise des Metiers d'Art, the confederation which embodies all of France's fashion and luxury producers, advised Turkish businesses to organise a fashion show in the Louvre Museum in Paris if they are seeking international recognition. "There is not a single country where the fashion industry can not prosper," says Mouclier. "Turkish women are quite chic and sophisticated."
       Mouclier said the first step in the development of the fashion industry is a school of fashion design.
       "We organise fashion shows in the Louvre Museum, and Turkish designers could contact us and prepare a collection," Mouclier said.
       Mouclier was in Istanbul on Saturday for the presentation of the spring-summer collections of well-known French designers.
