Malatya confused again

Thousands of Islamist supporters took to the streets in Malatya wielding wooden clubs and hurling stones in protest at a local university dean's insistence that girls wearing Islamic style headscarves be banned from campus.
Police force support demanded from the neighbour cities on the information that the protests would get intenser after the Friday prayer.
The group attacking the police ran into the mosque, as they understood that police would intervene the protest.
Police used teargas and armoured cars to break up the crowd of mostly male demonstrators.
