Russia's support for Syria's President Assad launched on Sept. 30. Despite Turkey’s warnings, Russia has violated several times Turkish airspace near the Syrian border
Russian warplanes were accused of targeting Turkmens and moderate openings in Syria. Outstanding violations of Russia:
Sept. 30, 2015: Russia targeted opponents that are supported by the U.S. near Hamas and Humus.
Oct. 3: Russian SU-24 and SU-30 jets violated the Turkish airspace twice.
Oct. 5: NATO described the airspace violations as “irresponsible act’ and condemned Russia for that.
Oct. 6: Turkish F-16 was locked on by Russian Mig-29. Turkish Foreign Ministry called Russian ambassador for the third time.
Oct. 15: Turkish Vice-Foreign Minister Aydın explained that Russian planes approached Turkish planes for 13 times.
Oct. 16: Russian-made aircraft Orlan 10 was downed in Hatay.
Nov. 20: Foreign Ministry explained Russian airstrikes to Turkmen villages might have serious results.
