State Minister Isin Celebi warned that they won't be distributing loans to compnies that pay - off their workers hiding behind the troubles caused by the current crisis. In a report to a programme at the private NTV channel, Mr. Celebi made statements on economic measures, which included a warning to some companies.
"We won't let worker - sacking companies enjoy Eximbank credits. We adopted this as a principle which we will practice", he said.
Mr. Celebi told that one the most important topics for them is "working security and peace". He stressed that they will be considering imposing sanctions on companies which don't act accordingly.
"Disregarding and excluding workers taking the chance of the present economic bottleneck, is an improper attitude. I can't accept this" he said.
On the other hand, in a press conference yesterday, Labour Minister Nami Cagan told that paying off workers mustn't be the first thing that comes to mind to avoid effects of the crisis. Mr. Cagan underyined that they will apply to all legal ways in a bid to protect workers' rights.
