Milliyet Daily visited two families whom live in Istanbul’s Eminönü district on New Year’s Eve.

14 people live in a single room at a destroyed building. Ten children at ages 1-15 were shaking in front of an electric heater. Syrian mother showed his 1,5-year-old child, Emir, and said: “I want to breastfeed but we do not have enough food. I cannot breastfeed my baby.”
