No peace without the Turkmens

Former deputy of the Turkish Nationalist Party (MHP) from Mersin Mehmet Şandır, whose some Turkmen family members live in Syria, expressed his gratefulness to Turkey for protecting Turkmens and further asserted that their suffering multiplied by Turkmens’ being the target of bombings more after the downing of the Russian jet. Şandır articulated his expectations from the government to keep their word for “substantive and efficient protection” and expressed that Turkmens should also participate in the ceasefire talks on 1 January 2016 as the representatives of 3.5 million people.
