Three suspects two of which were teachers captured in Sakarya were taken to Ankara for questioning. Pipe type time bomb mechanism found in the cell house


       Gendarme forces detained three people in Sakarya as the suspects of the
       murder of Prof. Dr. Ahmet Taner Kislali during an operation against illegal
       radical Islamic organisation IBDA - C. Three suspects of which two were
       teachers were taken to Ankara to be questioned on the assassination.
       According to the information from the Milliyet correspondent, gendarme
       headquarters in Adapazari which launched a top - secret investigation
       against IBDA - C, besides the operations against Hizbullah, captured three
       people. Teacher Mahir Cakir (40), his wife Seyhan Cakir (40) and teacher
       Ugur Oktar (41) were determined to have relations with Kislali
       assassination.
       In the searches in the cell houses security founded 7.65 mm pistol,
       chemicals that contain explosive substances and time bomb mechanisms. Since
       the explosive used in Kislali murder was a pipe type time bomb the materials
       found were sent to criminal laboratory.

Guruz was on target as well

       The first testimonies and the discovered documents revealed that the
       suspects were planning an assassination against the chairman of High
       Education Board Kemal Guruz as well. As some private documents of Ahmet
       Taner Kislali were also found in the operation a special team from Ankara
       was sent to Adapazari to bring the suspects.
       Speaking to Milliyet Daily sources said the bomb found in the cell house and
       the one used in Kislali assassination have also some common characteristics.
       Same sources also added that the suspects will be questioned by a special
       Kislali team that was made up of gendarme and security units in Ankara.
