Talks with Greece have positive start

Turkish and Greek take crucial steps in tourism and environment. Next on the line are the talks on terrorism to be held in Greece

Turkey and Greece launch on a serious dialogue process for the first in along time. According to resolutions of Foreign Ministries of both countries to hold talks over six crucial subjects. It has been reported that talks were carried out with a positive atmosphere. The two Boards have debated the updating of the tourism agreement which had been signed in1979 but never put into effect. It was also emphasised that environmental experts of the two countries needed to improve contacts and co-operate towards the prevention of pollution in the area.
The Boards are to come together again today to debate trade and economical issues in order to found the legal grounds on which Turkey and Greece could move towards better relations in trade.
