Police official's terrifying warning

       The fight between Alattin Cakici and Nuri Ergun, two well-known mobsters, has brought to light a new allegation. A high ranked police official who is known for his successful struggle against the mafia talked with a Milliyet reporter. Stating that the mafia should not be whom we are scared of the most, the official said the police officials of the Special Operations Units in the South East could be more terrifying threat.

Guilty: Southeast syndrome.

       The high ranked official implied that these police of the "special unit" could be a big threat for Turkey in a short future, like the unscrupulous mafia in Italy. Stating that a rehabilitation center for these police needs to be formed immediately, the official said the following:
       " The State is responsible for rehabilitating these police officials, however no one works on this. These people are going to become the mafia in a short future. They are all of nationalist descent. They will replace today's gangs and so police will fight against police. If these people are not rehabilitated, a fight is unavoidable. The conditions of their job damaged their mental balances. Most of them are still suffering from a syndrome, like that of the "Vietnam syndrome". They may turn out to be the next Italian unscrupulous mafia because they are afraid to kill.
