Milliyet uncovered a report prepared by the officials concerning Yaman Toruner who cost the state 6.5 million dollars in the construction of the new stock market headquarters.

According to the report, Toruner transferred money that belonged to IMKB into his wife's old bank account with a low interest rate. And in 1993, he cost the stock market 1.4 billion TL in lost interests.
Yaman Toruner's, a member of the Parliament from ANAP improper conduct during the construction of the stock market building at Istinye which cost the public 6.5 million dollars was determined by a report prepared by Capital Markets Board. A report prepared by the Prime Ministerial Inspection Board concerning the period when Mr. Toruner served as the President of IMKB contains interesting allegations.
The report, dated August 18, 1998, has been out of sight until Milliyet uncovered it. In the report, it is officially determined that Mr. Toruner put into Alev Toruner's bank account at Bank Indosuez, the portion of the money kept in Turkish Liras.
