Turkey denies bombing Iran

Turkey denied Iranian charges that Turkish warplanes had bombed Iranian terrtory.
Defence Minister Sabahattin Cakmakoglu said there had been no violation of Iranian air space by Turkish planes, but that Turkey was very concerned about "terrorist activities" on Iranian soil.
"We feel great concern about the fact that terrorists who carry out attacks on our territory escape to Iran, Iraq and Syria," Cakmakoglu said in a written statement.
"We all know there is a power vacuum in northern Iraq. But we wish it to be understood that we cannot tolerate with equimity that Iran and Syria adopt an attitude that makes things easy for terrorists," the defence minister said.
"But in spite of all this there is no question of Turkish planes having crossed the Iranian border to strike at targets there," Cakmakoglu said. Defence Ministry said Cakmakoglu ha explained all this to Iranian ambassador to ankara, who visited the ministry to complain about the alleged incident.
