Will foundations estates be sold

"I do not have the authority to grant construction permits for land belonging to charity," State Minister Yuksel Yalova said. "The only possible solution is through social reconciliation." The Minister noted that the Foundations' General Administration did not have an information system and said, "Therefore, we do not have access to an inventory of the welth and estate owned by the body." To cite an example, Yalova said there were around 5000 petitions originating from Beykoz, Istanbul only. He said those living on land owned by foundations and charities were willing to buy the estates.

Vakifbank not bearing profit

Yalova also pointed out that Vakiflar Bankasi owned 20% of the shares of Foundations' General Administration and that he would bring up in the Board of Ministers the selling of these shares. "I could easily sell these shares for their $400 million worth according to the reports of international counselling firms," the minister said.
