The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) leader Binali Yildirim has announced Turkey’s 65th government after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s approval on May 24.

Yildirim presented the new cabinet list consisting of new its members to Erdogan. Turkish President is expected to chair the first meeting of the new cabinet on Wednesday.

The party’s spokesman Omer Celik was appointed as the new Minister of European Union Affairs, replacing Volkan Bozkir. Foreign, finance and energy ministers kept their positions. Fatma Betul Sayan was appointed as the new Family and Social Policies Minister.

Nine ministers lost their seat in the cabinet; former PM Ahmet Davutoglu, Deputy PM Yalçın Akdogan, EU Minister Volkan Bozkir, Family and Social Policies Minister Sema Ramazanoglu, Economy Minister Mustafa Elitas, Culture and Tourism Minister Mahir Unal, Health Minister Mehmet Muezzinoglu, Development Minister Cevdet Yilmaz, Environment, and Urban Planning Minister Fatma Güldemet Sari.
