Job security a priority with unions

The social security issue will be on the agenda of the meeting of the Economic and Social Council (ESC). It is reported that workers prefer an age limit of 50-55 on retirement, but point out that this limit is debatable, given that the debate also concerns job security and unemployment insurance. The employers on the other hand, defend that the limit should be 55-60.
The various unions to take part in the ESC, namely Turk-Is, Hak-Is, and DISK, will get together on Wednesday, June 30th , prior to the meeting to prepare a joint declaration.
