Mahir Kaynak was to run away abroad

       Intelligence Units claimed that former MIT official Mahir Kaynak may run away after the programme broadcasted on MED TV, on which he evaluated Ocalan's letter to the General Staff as a historical chance for a peace between the state and PKK.
In a report prepared by the intelligence service, it has been stated that Kaynak's views on the letter are totally parallels with PKK and its foreign supporters' views. Report stated that "Mahir Kaynak has shared the same views which costed the lives of the soldiers and the security officers who defended the unity of Turkish Republic, and he now on should understand that he came to the end of abusing the official ways to work against the state. Such attitudes have two probable consequences, he will either accept the probable decisions that would be given by the Turkish courts and continue on his activites or he will reveal himself and the hidden powers behind him. This is what would happen if he runs away to a foreign country.
It has also been recorded that Mahir Kaynak abuses his former department MIT (National Intelligence Organization) saying "What we say is what our job requires, it is not possible to talk against the state."
