Merve Kavakci married to a Turkish man

Former Virtue Party deputy Merve Kavakcı, who lost her post as it was understood that she became an American citizen after marrying to an American, suddenly married to a Turkish citizen after a draft sent to the Parliament bidding foreigners would be accepted as citizen after a three year marriage to a Turkish citizen.
Kavakci had lost her post as a Parliament member with a decision from the Board of Ministers and she married secretly the overnight to have this right back.
In a simple ceremony Kavakci married to Bekir Lutfu Yildirim who is twelwe years older than herself.
The press was not let the ceremony. Istanbul Mayor Ali Mufit Gurtuna from the Virtue Party declined to answer reporters' questions, defending that this is an issue of private life.
