Mr. Sabanci calls for solidarity against crisis

       Sabanci Holding Chairman Sakip Sabanci said that the turmoil across the world isn't within our limits of control and warned that the crisis is approaching. "If we can work effectively as a team we can more easily overcome the turmoil. If not, we may be crushed under it", he said.
       The Sabanci President held a press conference after the ceremony following the distribution of 'Sakip Sabanci Art Awards' at the Mimar Sinan University. When asked a question concerning the effects of the world crisis on Turkey, Mr. Sabanci was quoted as saying: "The world undergoes crises in particular periods; just like in 1929. Sometimes they have bigger impacts. My late father used to say: 'If you know how to do your business and maintain it; and if you don't forget to clean the dust before your house, then you will be prepared against problems."
       In a response to a question on his predictions about the turmoil which Rahmi Koc thinks it will last five years, Mr. Sabenci said: "I can't state a prediction such as five years. I don't hope and expect such a thing."
