The second man of PKK, Semdin Sakik, whose code name is "fingercut Zeki" said he escaped from the organization because of regret. Sakik who is accused for the death of 238 people of which 125 are security officers, and who has been captured in an operation in Northern Iraq by the Special Forces inferior to the General Staff, has given his defence yesterday in Diyarbakır State Security Court (DGM).
Semdin Sakik against who the prosecution demands death penalty according to the 125th article of the Turkish Penalty Cour, told his activities since he attended to the organization until he left it in a 48-page defence. Sakik who has accepted his testimony, stated that he was active in the organization until 1993 and said the following on how they are parted with Abdullah Ocalan:
"I saw the bleeding of the blood and how everywhere was destroyed. I began to think that armed struggle is wrong. This is when we parted with Apo.
Sakık who said he left PKK because of regret continued as follows:
"I am not a Kurdish nalionalist or a seperatist. I think being seperatis is insanity. If Apo has taken a peaceful manner, he should take some serious steps. Syria doesn't want a peace in the State of Turkey. A war in Turkey is a benefit for Syria. If Apo is sincere with his manner, he should leave Syria and settle in Northern Iraq where 5 thousands of guerilla live."
