Terror in Taksim

One day before the Bairam, a live-bomb horror took place in Istanbul's most crowded square. The bomber died, 11 people of which 3 were policemen, were injured.
Terror hit Taksim Square this time. The attack injured 11 people of which 3 were policemen. The live-bomb, Semiha Kılıc who was carrying the bomb around her, died at the place of the incident.
It has been claimed that a man who organized the attack with Semiha Kılıc walked away after the incident.
Taksim Square was very crowded as the Bairam holiday has just started and a big explosion took place at about 12:35 p.m.
The bomber was determined to be Semiha Kılıc 25 years of age. It has also been determined that Semiha Kılıc had been taken under arrest on March 8th because of joining a demonstration in favor of PKK.

Police was alert

Erol Cakır, governor of Istanbul, stated that a calamity was escaped because the police was alert enough. Stating that the necessary police force was in the region as it is the day before the religous holiday(Bairam), Cakır said:
" One police officer who found the lady coming to the square suspicious, stopped the suspect. The lady who was stopped by the police officer opened both her arms and blew the explosives tied around her."
Those injured in the explosion has been taken to hospital. Works to find the other attacker still continue.
