Transportation in education increases success

Reports indicate that education by transportation in 9 municipalities and 80 villages of Erzurum caused an increase in educational success. Explaining that regular and systematic transportation in education contributes to better education and training, Mr. Fevzi Budak, the Director of National Education in Erzurum said, "Thanks to our trasportation system our students in villages have caught up with education in municipalities. Instead of only by one, these students now have the opportunity to be taught by several teachers and participate in social activities. This way, we are able to develop the social aspects of our students from the villages. Besides, we provide the teachers with better conditions in our municipalities."

Education by transportation, underway in Ispir, Ilica, Askale, Pazaryolu, Tortum, Olur, Oltu, Uzundere, and Senkaya municipalities of Erzurum, serve 2 thousand and 200 students. "Most of our villages are located in difficult and disparate geographical locations and sometimes have only 10 students. Sending teachers to these students translates into responsibilities. Moreover, the quality of such education leaves a lot to be desired. Thanks to education by transportation we have removed many of these problems. Next year, we have plans to expand this system even further," Mr. Budak said.
