Higher Service Madallion to Aydin Dogan

In the ceremony in the Presidential Palace Demirel said; "We are all
thankful to your efforts for the people."


President Suleyman Demirel awarded 20 people the highest madallion of
the State for their service in educational and medical treatment fields in
the last four years.
The President also gave the prize by his own hands to Aydin Dogan, the hear
of Dogan Group.
In the ceremony in the Presidential Palace Demirel made a speech which he
started saying, "As being the head of the State of the Turkish Republic, the
happiness I feel for having the opportunity to tell the gratefullness of my
nation."
Stressing that the efforts to make all the children of Turkey to have an
education started to give their fruits Demirel said,
"What made up the landscape we face here is this result, as it means that
the Turkish nation is able to determine its fate. You say that you are here
to improve this country as being the citizens of it. The children of this
country should go to school. All the citizens should enjoy medical services.
This is a war of civilization, it is the result of the highest
determination."
"The determination of our nation is the biggest treasure. The basis of the
richness of this country lies in the hearts the citizens. If we compare the
problems of this country, all of us put his hand under it."

Aydin Dogan also awarded

In compliance with the Code of State Medallions, awarded 20 people
approved by both the Board of Ministers and the President himself.
The head of Dogan Group Executive Board also took his prize from Demirel for
his great efforts both in the country and abroad and his great successions.
